At Legno Interior Design & Construction, we believe that construction is not only about building structures. It is also about creating safer spaces, restoring comfort, and bringing hope to the people who need it most.

One meaningful story that remains close to our heart is the community home rebuilding project for Uncle Ah Hock, a story originally shared by YB Steven Sim Chee Keong 沈志强.
Uncle Ah Hock was living in a home that was no longer safe or suitable for daily living. The old wooden structure was worn down, exposed to rain, and lacked proper basic facilities such as electricity and clean water supply.
For someone facing health and mobility challenges, a safe home was not a luxury. It was something essential.
Rebuilding More Than a House
This project was more than construction work.
It was about helping Uncle Ah Hock move into a safer, stronger, and more comfortable home. With the support of YB Steven Sim Chee Keong, kind-hearted contributors, and project partners, Legno Interior Design & Construction was honoured to play a part in the rebuilding process.
From an old and fragile structure, the project helped create a more secure living environment where Uncle Ah Hock could rest, move around, and live with greater peace of mind.
Construction With Purpose
As a construction company, Legno Interior Design & Construction understands that every project carries a story behind it.
Some projects focus on design, space planning, and lifestyle improvement. Some projects carry a deeper meaning — they remind us that a proper home can protect a person’s dignity, safety, and well-being.
This community rebuilding project reflects one of the values we hold closely: using our skills and experience not only to complete buildings, but also to contribute positively to the community around us.
A Meaningful Community Effort
This meaningful effort was first shared publicly by YB Steven Sim Chee Keong 沈志强, and it continues to be an important part of Legno’s story.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to YB Steven Sim Chee Keong and everyone involved in making this rebuilding project possible.
At Legno Interior Design & Construction, we are grateful to have been part of this journey.
Because every home matters.
And every person deserves a safe place to live.
