Equator College Students Visit Legno Interior Design & Construction Project Site for Industry Learning

Equator College Students Visit Legno Interior Design & Construction Project Site in Penang

Following the MOU signing between Legno and Equator College, Legno was pleased to welcome students from Equator College to one of our active project sites for an industry learning visit.

This site visit is part of our ongoing commitment to education and talent development, helping students gain direct exposure to real construction environments beyond the classroom.

Through this guided visit, students had the opportunity to observe how interior design, architectural planning, construction coordination, and site execution come together in an actual project.

Bridging Classroom Learning with Real Interior Design Practice

Interior design is more than creating beautiful drawings or mood boards. In real projects, every design decision must consider site conditions, technical requirements, safety, budget, timeline, and buildability.

During the guided site visit, students were introduced to the practical side of Penang interior design projects, including construction progress, site coordination, material application, workflow planning, and safety awareness.

This hands-on exposure helps students better understand the journey from design concept to actual site implementation.

Supporting Future Interior Designers in Penang

At Legno Interior Design & Construction, we believe that industry experience is an important part of talent development.

By opening our project sites to students, we hope to provide them with a clearer understanding of how real projects are managed, how teams collaborate, and how design decisions are carried out on-site.

This initiative also reflects the purpose of our collaboration with Equator College — to create more meaningful learning opportunities for students and support the development of future professionals in the interior design and construction industry.

Building the Next Generation Through Practical Experience

The site visit marks another meaningful step in the partnership between Legno Interior Design & Construction and Equator College.

We are grateful to the students and lecturers from Equator College for their participation, and we look forward to continuing this collaboration through more workshops, industry sharing sessions, and real-world learning experiences.

Together, we hope to inspire and prepare the next generation of designers, builders, and construction professionals.
