Introduction
We’re seeking an experienced Interior Designer to become an integral part of our team. Your role includes preparing CAD, 3D drawings, sourcing suppliers, attending site meetings, and ensuring quality control.
The role demands a sound understanding of current market trends and technology to create effective designs. Field verification, producing construction documents, managing interior plans, and conducting research are among your duties. A commitment to ongoing learning in the field of architecture and design is essential. You may also act as a project leader, interfacing with clients and consultants throughout the project.
Qualification
- Candidate with Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in an Architectural or Interior Design or equivalent
- Required language(s): Mandarin, English
- Candidate with strong knowledge of the design process, including color and materials, furniture systems and specifications is preferred.
- Knowledge in Detailing / Site Experience
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, 3D Max, and/or SketchUp
- Knowledge of building trades such as electrical, carpentry, plumbing and general construction
- Accurate and detail oriented.
- Strong communication skills required to demonstrate design ideas and direction, both verbally and graphically.
Task & Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of CAD, 3D drawings, BQ, and other project documents.
- Participate in site meetings and assist in quality checks of drawings and building materials.
- Source materials, suppliers, and contractors, maintaining detailed records.
- Provide input on design practicality, project timeline, milestone achievement and share learning from past experiences.
- Assist in site surveys, field verification, and test fit plans.
- Participate in the creation of construction documents, ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Aid in the development of client deliverable, including interior plans, elevations, and finish boards.
- Support the team in developing and managing furniture and interior fittings packages.
- Conduct research to support project team.
- Commit to ongoing learning in the field of architecture and design, and apply this knowledge to everyday work.
